If you do a search on this or the vent forum you'll find other people in similar situation. if I recall the threads correctly, apparantly it is sky, not an insurance co.From MSE Martin - Some General Tips On Holiday Home Organisations and Sales Meetings

It isn't Sky. I'm on Sky's repair plan on recurring direct debit and still have these blighters ringing me up regularly. If you ask them some searching questions they admit that they're not related to Sky.I really must stop loafing and get back to work...0 -
It's not Sky ringing you, it's a 3rd party, so tell them that the person they are calling for has sadly passed away.................0

I have choose to refuse on my phone from BT which means i can block up to 10 numbers of my choice. It is expensive, cost approx £7 a quarter but for my piece of mine it's well worth it and has come in useful on many occasions even though i am TPS registered and ex directory. Something to consider, block them from calling you.0

There are serveral companies that do the extended warranties on the Sky boxes. Sky not being an insurance company doesnt do any of them however one of them is officially sanction by them and back in my day of having to make these calls we did have full access to Skys computer system so saying the account holder has died may be an issue - we couldnt make the amendments to the sky account other than to increase the DD to include the warranty but we could message the customer service team with information.
As it is potentially "sky calling a sky customer" I wouldnt imagine the TPS service would apply as it is not unsolicited. Legislation on companies calling their own customers to cross sell currently has a number of intentional loopholes which are billed as being temporary but with no date for closure. That said and done most companies do have opt out options in their own systems despite not currently being required to do so. Call sky and ask for them to note no sales calls.... obviously at the same time you will miss out on other special offers etcAll posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

I keep getting correctly addressed (so Sky must've sold my details on) junk mail from Satellite Services (UK) telling me my Sky warranty is about to expire (it's not).
I'm so fed up with them I now complete their forms signing up for one of their plans using a bogus name, a bogus bank account number but a genuine address and postcode and genuine bank address, postcode and sort code.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
