I had a chancer once who had two complaints about 1 item (a 2 CD pc item 'there was a disc missing and anyway it didn't work').
After I replied telling them that (a) it WAS complete and (b) I had tested it and it worked I never heard from them again...
Anyway I've asked for pictures or a return.
Some excellent advice, posters! Many thanks. Buyer now blocked.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

I'd still insist on item being returned or photos first- this looks suspicious to me.
I asked if she'd be prepared to send pictures or return the item (at her own expense) and it's all gone strangely quiet...
ETA
Have now had a message 'other sellers' have apparently 'refunded'
Here-
just leave it then as other sellers always refund the postage to return cause you can't really charge someone postage on an returned item when it's not even there fault that it's had to of been sent back, they usually refund for the item & the returned postage but not the postage to be sent!
Looks like your 'suspicious transaction radar' or whatever it was was spot on, folks.

The buyer may have decided its not worth them spending £2 to post it back to what will amount to a net refund of 99p!!0

To me, this looks like she does this on a regular basis, playing on the goodwill of sellers.just leave it then as other sellers always refund the postage to return cause you can't really charge someone postage on an returned item when it's not even there fault that it's had to of been sent back, they usually refund for the item & the returned postage but not the postage to be sent!0 -
Tell her that once you have received it back and have confirmed it is faulty that you will also refund her return postage too.I asked if she'd be prepared to send pictures or return the item (at her own expense) and it's all gone strangely quiet...

Does she buy huge amounts on ebay? I've had 3 items in 6 or 7 years that haven't been as described.
I'd expect a buyer who knows what other sellers do in a dispute is either a scummy scammer, or so unlucky that maybe they should stick to buying face to face.0 -
Valli, glad you stuck to your guns

Hang on! Thats the same as refunding the item cost and original postage but not the return postage!!they usually refund for the item & the returned postage but not the postage to be sent!
Sounds like the buyer is a little bit confused!!
Tell them you will happy to refund their return postage and the cost of the item but not the original postage!! They should be happy then!!0 -

Dont refund them anything until you have the item returned to you in full.0
