£2 savers club part 2

Hello everyone, I see there are new people joining this challenge all the time. Welcome all newbies, hope you have fun saving :T
The way I take part is that if I receive any £2 coins I don't spend them, I save them. They start out in an ordinary 'saving receptacle'and then I bank them each time I reach £20 (not too often). I have saved £46 so far as part of this 2008 challenge and banked £40 of it. It's very addictive and it gets quite exciting to receive a £2 coin in your change. :rotfl:
I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Thanks so much. I will raid my house tonight and find a suitable "saving receptacle" (love it) and hopefully a few £2 coins too!

I haven't had one in donkeys ages.
I've ended up putting 2 £1coins in my tub to make up for it.
Found out that OH gave away £20 of them to a mate who was skint so i think my total is at about £12
Maybe we should start a bit in this thread saying that when we hit £100 we should bank them to allow others a fair chance to meet their target.
Now what are the chances of my saying this if i had £100 in my tub....Official DFW nerd no 551 - proud to be dealing with my debts

Nothing for ages and then £8 worth in one day via work!
NT... I LOVE the casual way you dropped that into your post - you bought a caravan??????? :rotfl: LOVE IT! Well done and PLEASE tell us more. :T
Hi, Its just a little 2/3-berth van with an awning (quite old really), nothing special, but the kids seemed really hooked on the idea & I'm feeling a bit too old to be sleeping on air-beds in the tent now! Although, we won't be going anywhere for a while, as I have no tow bar on the car :rotfl: (they can sleep in it on the drive)
The new sofa has had to take a back seat (pardon the pun!) but we will get there! Have another £20 to bank today :T . Will update sig when its gone in!

Oh, I forgot to say - I 'buy' them from my kids if they get any in their change - they are under strict instructions that they are not allowed to spend them and if I don't have the change to buy /swap them, they have to sit on top of the fridge until I have the change (the £2 coins that is, not the kids!) :rotfl: (unless they've been naughty of course
