  • I put my first one in today... I feel like I am five years old again, going to the school bank lady to add £2 to my Halifax SuperSavers account (remember the little squirrel and the house shaped money box?!). Oh well, I probably had more assets to my name when I was five, so why not try it again?!

    Thanks for the idea :)

Oh Smilealot, your posting made me laugh. Every time I get a £2 coin in my change I keep thinking 'yes, yes, yes'!. Had a couple of days last week when there seemed to be a shortage of £2 coins then all of a sudden I had 4 in one day, I was so excited. This really does mean I should get out more!
  • Well, that's the 2006 terramundi smashed and I had more in it than I thought!

£322 for a years worth of change and £2 coins getting dumped in it. Sig only had £308 so a 'profit' of £14, :D

Now to start on the 2007 savings!

Keep up the good work folks - it's great not noticing the odd coin here and there and then it's even better treating yourself to something splurgy every year :rotfl:

Thanks for keeping my incentive going on this one - here's to the next year of it.
  • Got three today in my change at the newsagents, i think they must know me as they always give me them now in my change. will definately be going back there again

  • I saved forty pounds worth in Janaury, which I banked to clear some overdraft. I plan to bank at the end of each month - only got a few so far this month though - must do better!

  • Ooooh, just realised I posted my message 3 times yesterday... was so excited! :rotfl:

I'm not spending any money today, which is a good thing, but I want to add more £2 coins to my money tin(!)

I need to do one of these signature thingies
