Hmmm, I've been using my £2 coins in the parking meter outside work. I may be persuaded to walk for 10 minutes each way (I know, but I'm on my own while husband works away and I have a 2 year old, so time is precious) and join you in saving not spending. I'll have a trial run next week and see how it goes.

I got another one today. Up to £22 now.
  • Been thinking about joining the club for a while now. Used to get the odd £2 in change. Refused on principal to buy a money box [I'm not that tight, really I'm not  ] So two weeks ago on Monday I got a large glass pickle jar. Made a slit in the lid and put it on with loads of Gaffa Tape Round it to stop the 'tea leafs' in the household.

Would you believe it, I have had £26 of the little beggers since, plus 2 that my DH has donated.

Well off to a good start :j £28 and counting
Proud to be dealing with my debts ONE day at a time
    Stopped smoking 25.05.07 - Saving £7.80 a day
:j Successfully claimed bank charges of £2598.39 as of 1st June 2007:j

It seems ages since i was on here! actually over a month ago!!!!

Sorry Nicola or Slowfading, thta i didn't reply to your qoute previously. Yep i get quite a few on on some occasions more than 5!!!!

The £2 coins appear to go through stages were i get plenty all at once and then get none for ages.

i've not had many for a bit, but over the last week, i've had a few cheeky ones and my terramundi has started to fill up. i tend to get a few whilst out on the ale and i still manage to save a few of them!!!(must drink more beer!!!)

on a slightly different note, i have one of those large whisky jars which i've been collecting all my other change in and as a result i counted it today, whilst watching the rugby and it had a nice 350 quid (well just short of) in it!!!:D :T :D
