Of course if you fancy the convector heaters then that's your choice.
However if you fancy the Farho heaters don't be put off by a few smart **** saddo's who try to put people off them at every turn. It's rather pathetic but probably gives them a warm fuzzy in their loins.:)0 -

I doubt that you'd get a 'warm fuzzy' (or indeed a warm anything else) from those Farho heaters. Their maximum output is just 1430W.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

£2000 for a few Dimplex style heaters, rip off.
All electric heaters of equivalent wattage cost the same to run and give out the same heat. 'Impressive heat and economical to run' is an oxymoron when it comes to electric heating.
Conveniently leaving the word "fairly" out of my quote before the word "economical". For the OP gas central heating isn't an option, if it was I wouldn't be suggesting these.0 -
Mr Man Full of Love, why do you persist in selling this junk, just because you were perspicacious enough to buy it doesn't mean people with good helpful intentions should let you [ and other promoters - just last week ] get away with using these boards to sell snake oil
- the biggest one they sell for £452.99 + install costs has an output 25% less than this
- they claim INPUT 770W - OUTPUT EQUIVALENT TO 1225W - yeh ! right - like I said snake oil, that's an [ real world ] actual output of 38.5% of the O/P's £10 quid 2kWh fan heater or convector or 2 bar electric fire.
Look my friend, its a free world and I applaud the fact that you are entitled to your opinion, in the case of FARHO et al you might want to reconsider validating their claims before you re-post and propagate the myth that they are effective and 60% cheaper as a heating system in this country.
Before however you [STRIKE]spend tens of thousands[/STRIKE] more than 20 quid on validation, I should point out that with all the international resources at their disposal .. .. .. they have produced no validation evidence for their claims, so you might want to reconsider.Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. I try to be an even-handed poster and accept that you at times may not agree with these opinions or how I choose to express them, this is not my problem. Richie-from-the-Boro why do you continue to use long words to cover up your lack of thought power?
The OP wanted heating system advice. I have Farho heaters and they work so I recommended them.
The OP has a mind of his own so he can decide whether to take the word of someone with personal experience of the system or the word of a few Google-mongers with a grudge.:)
It's a free country, you continue to rubbish them and if I'm bored enough I'll continue to rubbish your rubbish as you have no idea what you're talking about.:)
Why not nip over to the health insurance section and slip the word Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis into your post.:)0 -

How do they compare to a 700W oil filled mini radiator I got off freecycle for nothing? I'm pretty sure they are almost the same thing.
No idea. Unlike everyone else I'm not going to use Google to find out about something I have no experience of and then try to pass it off as knowledge.:)0 -
"fairly" adds nothing to your argument - all electric ehating heaters of thw same rating cost the same to run, whether the heater costs £10 or £1,000.
Which gives more heat - a 50p Bic lighter or a £100,000 diamond encrusted Zippo?0 -
I'm not making an argument. I'm stating the fact that the heaters are fairly economical to run when placed along side their effectiveness in heating a house.
Still, not to worry. I'm sure as we speak the OP is down the charity shop buying up a pile of discarded two bar electric fires and will be basking in warmth in no time.:)0
