Not sure how you work that one out but if you think it's attractive to park where there's more risk of having a car door hit your car... then go for it.0 -

Yes, people win all the time in county court, but winning and getting your money back are two very different things.
First thing that is 99.9% guaranteed - you won't get a penny out of the clamping company if you do win because they ignore CCJ's... it makes no odds to them because they are worthless companies who don't need credit.
That is why, if you do wish to take this to county court, you must also sue the company that hired them (usually the management company for the land-owner) and also possibly the individual that clamped your car.
You need to get all your information together and go to PePiPoo and get advice on your next steps and let people see if you have a case and ultimatley, if you want to bother with seeing this through.0 -
Did you pay by Cash or by Card?0

My son paid by debit card and got charged an extra £7 to do so0

Has he tried phoning the bank to reverse the charges as he got forced to pay under due distress?0

This is often a good call and might work... if it is on a credit card then you are covered by a consumer credit agreement so they might be more forthcoming but not so on a debit card.... but it is worth a shot!0 -
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Can anyone give advice on the following. A reason to be clamped is taking up 2 parking spaces, can anyone define taking up 2 parking spaces.
My son parked at the Marco Island car park in Nottingham, he was clamped for parking over bay. The fact is that he was parked on the line and not over it. He had to pay a fine of £147 even though it stated £140 on the warning sign.
Any advice would be greatfull. Thanks.
he should have got in car and locked the door and stayed there0
