Maxium Boot Carry Weight

Aye, do like the Scotsman said. Just keep an eye on how low the car drops and stop loading when it's too low.
10 bags at 25k is just like sticking two people in the back and 20 is like giving a couple of fatties a lift to the pie shop; 25 is giving them a lift back as well.....0 -
As above, you'll be fine. Having done similar things myself many times, with *very* heavy loads, 2 small tips - check your tyres beforehand, make sure they are inflated to "full load" pressure ( lots of cars recommend a higher pressure for fully laden than for half-laden ), and be prepared for the handling to feel slightly odd, with more rolling around corners, so no taking hairpins at 60mph :-) As previous posters have said, much better if you can distribute the weight rather than piling it all in the boot.0

Autotrader's website lists the max loading weight of the 206 as between 475kg and 500kg depending on the model so 75kg plus a driver should not be a problem.0

Looking in the manual for our Clio 1.5dCi (check yours)
Front axle 255kg
Rear axle 440kg
Max total 580kg
306 manual is in the car but sure that is 500kg+
Looking on line at a 206 manual
Seems to be around 425kg-560kg (does not give axle).
(depends on model exacly what the kerb and max are)
NOTE the SW is lower 380kg-420kg.0 -
Excellent!
I'll be picking up 200KG (8 bags) later this week in one trip then!
It's good to know that I can carry more when needed too.

I picked up 8 bags of compost from the garden centre the other week. Silly pirrock
who loaded the car stacked them all at the very back.
Dropped the seats and pushed them all forwards. Much better i can see a gap between the
towbar and the road now.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
