Yes that was me.:( I didn't declare some windscreen claims (never occured to me:o) and More Than suspended my policy. I had to cancel the policy and go back to my previous insurer and take the hit on the deduction from the return premium.0 -

thanks
2 years ago we set off and had only gone a couple of miles when a crack appeared in the windscreen from the bottom right in front of the passenger (my wife) so we returned home. At the time my insurance was with DL so I phoned and was put straight through to Autoglass. The last question they asked was "Please confirm that we can claim against your insurance for the balance of the replacement cost?". This set the alarm bells ringing so I asked for a price (winscreen and new seal) if I paid myself - £490 +VAT!!!!!!!!!!! I then rang the local main dealer and the car actually requires the windscreen to be hot bonded in addition to the new windscreen and seal. Their price was £374 incl VAT - as the car is over 5 years old they run a 5-Plus scheme that reduces the labour by 50%.0 -
but im hopin it wont happen again
If you are worried about it occuring again, it may be worth taking everything out of your car and leaving the glove box open and the luggage cover out (if you have a hatchback).
At least if it's obvious that there is nothing in the motor, it may stop someone breaking in to have a look.0 -

No, just phoning an insurer and it will be logged and must be declared to a future insurer. See a recent BBC Watchdog programme.0 -

No.
You have to declare all incidents that could have lead to a loss.
As previously advised, this will now be on your record and the database so don't be tempted not to disclose it in future.0 -
