First Direct - Not eligible for £100 incentive if you have held an ISA

This may be obvious to some people, but I just thought I would let everyone know that First Direct will not pay out the £100 if you have previously held an ISA with them.
The criteria states that the offer is "only available for people who haven't previously experienced the delights of banking with first direct", but I was under the impression this was referring to current accounts, not savings accounts. "banking" and "savings" are, after all, in seperate catagories on First Direct's own website.
I made a complaint that the eligibility criteria were not clearly written but received an email and phone call to let me know that they would not be reconsidering their position.
They also confirmed to me that I would be eligible for the £100 for leaving, but I don't really want to take them up on this because I have taken out a Regular Saver that I would like to continue using.
I saw a thread a while ago in which someone was asking about a very similar situation, but couldn't find the original thread. Hope this helps someone though!

Yep I'm in the same position. Hadn't used the ISA for 3 years but no £100. Doesn't matter though - I wasn't joining for the cash. More the decent customer service, and best of all no monthly fees for Pre-arranged overdrafts - are you listening LloydsTSB?!!0

I thought to myself "the terms and conditions must be more specific than that", but you know what, I can't find any term or condition more specific than "previously experienced the delights of banking with first direct".
So technically, you could argue that you have never previously experienced any delight, and therefore, you should be entitled to the £100. I'd like to see you try though
I had a current account with them before, got the first £100 and I didn't experience any delight. I closed my account and got my second £100. But since I never experienced any delight before with First Direct, I should be, according to that condition, able to open another account and get a third £100! Can anybody point to terms or conditions that say otherwise? You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.0 -
hmm, perhaps it was this thread of mine

Not sure what to say though if they have already investigated your complaint but decided not to pay out.0
