I forgot to mention I use a Mac. I'm not sure if I could use my old version of Quicken on my new laptop but if I manage to find the installation disks I could give it a go. I've also found "Home Accountz" which offers a 30-day free trial and is UK based. Has anyone tried it?
Hello fellow Mac user :-)
Search google for MoneyWell, it's very good. Also does envelope budgeting too.If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)0 -
Another very happy Moneydance user here, and it's MAC compatible too. Easy to use and can be adapted for envelope budgeting if you want that. It's an excellent piece of software that will cater for investments as well as bank accounts and credit cards.Life is not a dress rehearsal.0

I have used MSMoney since 1995 & It is the best bit of software I have ever purchased. However it has been discontinued for a number of years & there is a sunset version, but its american & with limited functionality. Has anyone managed to install MSmoney on Windows 7 64bit?
Yes, no problems at all with Money 2004 on my W7 64bit Home Premium.0 -
I too have a Mac and also an iPhone. The best solution is to use PocketMoney on the iPhone and sync it to PocketMoney on the Mac - the iPhone is your main app and it is this which handles regular payments like DDs and SOs. The desktop app is not needed, but is nice to use when you want to do your accounting on a proper computer rather than a phone.

You can still buy the last UK release of Quicken 2004 XG on Ebay. Prices range from £16.99 to about £27. These are genuine copies and work on XP,Vista and Windows 7 .
I bought one last year as my old PC packed up and I didn't have my Quicken code.
I reinstalled and restored all my 15 years of data no problem.
Well worth the cost.0 -

I use it daily on a mac, and although it does cost and is a little more 'left field' than rivals, it's fantastic budget software that is also specially tailored to saving money and keeping track of your budget. I've tried every major alternative on Mac, paid for quite a few of them (!) but this is the one I always come back to. There's no comparison!
Also has an iPhone app available...0 -
