What date do you put your Chirstmas decorations up?

  • Hi.
Tree goes up - first Sat or Sun in December.
Tree comes down - first weekend in January (before kids go back to school).
Also, can't bring myself to buy any minced pies or put on Christmassy music before December.
December is the Christmas month - seeing 'Christmas' in shops in September is a no-go for me - it's too early. Halloween (although it's not big in our house) should be done first.

I aim to put the trees up around the 15th December but it is usually later than that, after Xmas I then get jittery, can't wait to take the darned lot down, it all seems so jaded after the big day, generally I drag the whole lot back down about 2nd January. If I had my way the whole lot would be back in the attic on December 27th.

Last weekend in November or first weekend in December - depends on when the forest opens for real Christmas tree sales :)
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?

Usually by the end of the first week in December. Last year, was Christmas Eve I think! It will probably be a fortnight before christmas, as not organised for it this year.
