What date do you put your Chirstmas decorations up?

I was wondering which date you all put your decorations up and around what date is not too late to xmas but also not too early!

Plus does anyone know where to get cheap but nice decs from?

For the last few years my tree and decorations have went up on 1st November :rotfl:

That's usually as long as I can wait lol! This year it may be 1st December, Im making a start on decorating the living room (new suite is due for deliver on christmas eve...... )

Edit - It's supposed to be 12 days before christmas.... not in my house though lol!

haha same!! i love christmas too much i always want to start as soon as possible but with living above a pub, the people in the beer garden may not want to see twinkly lights too early :P I might go for November.

theres a house near my mum and dads that are known for being the first! you know its christmas when they have their tree in their window! lol

ours are going up on the 27th nov. usually it the last sat of nov, but my dd has a winter carnaval band parade to do so we've changed the date.

For the record, ours go up the first weekend of December. My mum insisted that the tree went up after tea on Xmas eve so I'm rebelling against that! We usually make some new decs too- this year it's slogans (Wonderful Christmas Time, noel noel etc) out of Scrabble cards. :j

Go up the first weekend of December then they come down on the first weekend of the new year or a bit earlier if im sick of the sight of tinsel.
I do like seeing the fairy lights on the outside of the houses

We put ours up On the 12th dec as it's my sisters bday and we have our breakfast she gets her presents if we work go work then after tea help to put them up!! Although when we go to bed ect mum used to change them round agen so when we got up they would be different lol!! However I'm now living with my bf and his mum and they put there's up last weekend of november x

Mine go up during the middle weekend of December so 17th or 18th this year depending on work commitments.

They come down on new years day because by then I'm fed up of picking up the baubles that the cats have decided look better on the floor!

Usually two weeks before Christmas, but DH insists that when our baby is born (next year) we have to leave them until Xmas eve so they think that Santa did it (!). I think we'll compromise and put the tree up two weeks before Xmas (as its kinda a tradition to go and buy a real tree) and then do the rest of the decorations on Xmas eve just to keep him quiet. :rotfl:

Usually the first weekend in December. Used to do it on the 1st but now my son is in school we do it at the weekend and he helps - I love Christmas and we also make some new decorations each year (usually from foam and glitter) which is great fun for a wet weekend x

Ours always go up the first weekend in December and come down the first weekend in January.
