Sorry but I am PMSL!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

That's going to keep me in chuckles all evening now :D

It makes me think of the bush tucker trials on I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!!! :rotfl: They had to eat a kangaroo anus  and it made me think, well I bet everyone who is cringing at that doesn't realise that those sorts of things go into cheap sausages :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Oh I can't stop laughing :T

(my DDs have just run over to look at the screen to see what I am laughing at - I won't tell them though!!!)

Oh well, I am no sissy (sp?), I grew up on eating frankfurters, pates, tripe soup and minced pigs head...
You can tell them, I am glad I made you laugh.. I think some people are very sissy over some things.. Like I am over people making funny faces and noises over what some other people eat or do...
  • We were camping with my sister & her family a couple of years ago & discovered nephews & niece were now eating meat when Sis gave them Mr T's value hot dogs. My husband offered eldest nephew some of his duck pate & nephew rejected it on the grounds that 'It's got horrible stuff in it'...

I wouldn't offer someone a vegetarian sausage without telling them that is wasn't a meat one as the ones we usually end up getting have egg in them as a binder and DS2's friend is allergic to egg. but I do give the boys' friends meat free hot dogs with them knowing what they're eating and get positive responses. I used them in a pasta salad for 4th of July.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Another vote for the veggie dogs - Tivall are good and I believe they make the Sainsburys' ones. Tesco's are OK, Asda's are not so good - the texture just isn't right.

Also, try the Quorn chilled ones in the blister pack - they have a really good texture and are quite large too.

Another vote for the veggie ones - and we're not veggie. As they're frozen you can just use them one at a time which is more helpful to me than eight in a tin. They have the same texture and flavour of a tinned hotdog - in a bun with onions and/or ketchup it is very difficult to tell the difference. My son likes them in pasta, in a sauce or cold in pasta salad. Morrison's do them too.

I love the little sausages in Heinz beans please does anyone know which hot dog sausage would be the nearest to them?

Do come back and let us know if you find them as I'm quite partial to them myself and so often people never come back to their question instead just lurk.

Has to be Heinz for me though, own brands aren't good enough.
