Dream on. That was just the start of your rudeness on this thread. Most of the others you deleted. Most of which I quoted.

Its not the first time & you still throw your toys out when you get a bit back.

Unlike you though I don't delete my posts.

I will leave it at that whilst you carry on & try & convince the OP he has been conned & the sparky didnt have to do the work.

& by the way this "discussion" wouldn't have even got here if I hadn't of dragged the important info out of him.
    Gracious as ever.

If you care to look back at my posts you will see quotes you later deleted which were rude from the offset. So if you expect me to play nice with you know you have another thing coming.

But as we all know you declared yourself an expert on the regs yesterday & do indeed have a copy to hand.

We also know this is not the first time you have started this behaviour with me. Don't we now. I expect more to follow at some stage in the future followed by another period of you spouting of rubbish.

From the outset I have found your tone and content rude and offensive, due to your confrontational and patronising manner. I kept quiet, and did not react, but after a while your posting style started to really get on my nerves.

he's merely expressing his OPINION as to the vagueries and contradictions of the Wiring regs, and Part P.

Thanks, it does not look clear cut as I thought, and they will argue that I interfered. I contend that the project manager should have told me to not touch ANY electrics, since I had no idea what they were doing, and that installation of a fuse box had implications for the whole house. Obvious to you of course.

Another side issue is that there were two sockets in the airing cupboard, one used by the immersion heater, with a funny small round pin plug. I asked them to install a phone socket, and instead they removed the wiring for the funny electric socket, and fed the phone socket down the channel, then replaced the front plate with the old tatty phone socket front plate from the hall. It struck me as odd that I would pay for a phone socket to be installed, but have an electric socket removed.

why isi it not two separate jobs. they wired the kitchen to the old board and left. should they not have tested their work after that and certed it. the customer then altered some other sockets outside the area of the kitchen. which he is allowed to do. they then come back and do a seperate job on the fuse box which needs checking and certing.
the factor that they damaged a window at the cost of 150 and charge the same seems quite important. if i was having wiring done i would expect all the work to be done at one time.

I think the window damage should be ignored as there is not proof of any connection.

At least there is not currently a socket on a lighting ring. Whether there ever was is not clear.

You have called 3 people rude on this thread.

With MrVardy it goes right over my head he has been doing it since the last time he gave out dangerous advice & the time before that even.

With you I only have to read things like "3 electricians have told me" and its like water off a ducks.......
