Travel lodge been anywhere good?

Hi I keep seeing the great £15 offer, and was wondering if anyone has used this offer as a cheap holiday or long weekender
If so what are the good ones to book ie by this I mean good locations. thanks suzy

I really like the Covent Garden lodge. Ideal for the West End. Taking my daughter there for her 16th next month.

It can be, subject to availabilty. I've got a £15 room in a couple of Friday's time.

I went to a nice one called Burford which is in the Cotswolds.
Nice location if you want to go to the cotswolds.

i have been to many travel lodges and they are all basically the same. the one in brighton is very central to town centre,sea etc but raely offer anything cheaper than £26 per night and usually need to book long time in advance. last weekend decided to space out my jan sales shopping and stayed at the one next to the galleria outlet centre in hatfield on A1 this was a £15 one and was great for nearby galleria 200 yards away had nearby pubs with brewers fayre and cinema complex in galeria with a frankie and bennie restaurant and a bella italia, dont bother with the £6.50 all you can eat breakfast buffet, looked very disappointing and dried up so we went to mcdonald for sausage and pancake meal which cost same one buffet breakfast for all 3 of us. am looking today to book more breaks around the uk as i love getting out of london for weekend and at these prices need not cost more than a weekend at home, enjoy!!

We had a great mini break in the Canterbury one. Canterbury itself is a lovely historic city and it's not far to Deal and Dover where we went to the castles (well worth joining English Heritage for!) and on the last day went on a day trip to France using one of the cheap newspaper deals (about £25 for car+5, I think). We also had a good weekend in a Travelodge near Stonehenge which is handy for,obviously Stonehenge but also Winchester and Salisbury (Cathedrals and Old Sarum to visit). A couple of years ago we went to the Bristol one which was great for sightseeing (Bath, Bristol's waterfront area and @Bristol attraction etc) but we kept getting lost in Bristol's weird road system!

Oxford Peartree is really handy if you're visiting the city of Oxford as it is right next to a Park & Ride to the city centre. I've stayed a couple of times at £10/£15 rates and it has always been pleasant.

we stayed at "fort dunlop" in brum last time the £15 were about. Got lost a bit getting there (the only place it says travel lodge on the building is on the very top - which you can't easily see from up close). Once there it was OK, although out of 3 rooms we had, only one had a bath that would actually hold water. Not the nicest hotel, but then I wouldn't expect that from a travel lodge...)

It was only a short drive from star city and I guess around 20 mins to brum centre. We stayed for the xmas markets etc, (which were cool).

We use the one in Cambridge a short walk from the town centre it was very good.
cambridge is excellant for a short break.

Wow thank for your replies, I will try and book one when me and hubby get a long weekend together, and my daughters would love the london one for shopping thanks .suzy
