Ebay Wedding Invites - advice please!

I spoke to a friend who is a bit into her crafts and she said that the cheque book style will be very easy to make. I have ordered a sample from Ebay and will go from there. I am hoping to get them made in the next few weeks. When do you need your invites made? If its not for a while I can let you know how I get on. I could easily put a little how to guide

I looked on ebay & like you found it abit mind boggling as there are so many people selling stuff
I went for what was going to go with our colour scheme which is black & white... Were also having abit of shabby chic in there. We have gone for these but are having black ribbon run through instead of the ivory.Getting married Sat 1st September.Saving like mad for the next 40 weeks0 -
I'm in the process of doing mine on vista print, along with envelopes, stickers for envelopes, menus, you name it! It's a little bit time consuming, but no where near as tiime consuming as making your own. I just hope that the quality is good! They are working out very cheaply - about £3.70 for 10 and then I might get around to sticking sparkly extras on if I think they need it!

I've just made a big order for a girl who's getting married in November this year.
She ordered the menus, table plan, invitations, place cards, table numbers etc and was quite specific in the design, card, colour scheme she wanted. I quoted her £185 all in. Each item was hand-made.
£400 is a huge price to pay in my opinion!

I've spoken to a couple of friends who got married recently and they paid that for their invites alone whereas this for me would cover all my wedding stationery.
Maybe I'm just naive!!!
oops

Hi all and thanks for your comments - some good ideas / advice.
I really like the ones I've seen though
so need to think about the cost...
sallyUK please could you let us all have a look at pics of what you produced for £185?
thanks

The lady who has this site is such a doll! I've had her as a friend facebook for a year or so as we used the same dress designer and she's just so lovely! x0 -
Hi CBQ
Here is a photo of what her order looked like - I have a photo of the inside of the invitations, but it has her personal details on it and I don't know how to blur them out, but if you would like me to send you it by PM, please ask and I'll do that for you.
She ordered 100 invitations, place cards, save the date cards, orders of service, menus, table numbers, favour boxes, table plan and personalised guest book.

Her stuff is so lovely, just the sort of thing I want for our stationery. Too expensive for me though
