The car is a Lexus 450h, 15 months old, 45,000 miles. Due for a service, so he'll get them to check it out.
Thanks for all the suggestions.
ML.
If they are the original tyres then 45000 miles is a good life for them."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

If the tyres are both worn on the inside edge it is nothing to do with the speed humps !!
Get your garage to check the rear tracking it sounds as though it needs adjusting.
Dont know what sort of car you have.
I had this happen on my new Kia Sportage but noticed the tyres wearing. Had the rear tracking checked & adjusted.
Kia paid for 2 new tyres as well.
I'm afraid you can't simply rule it out like that, sharp edges on pot holed pyramid type speed humps can cause major issues and as the op said "40 of these everyday".I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
Just thought I'd mention in here, mainly because I would not believe it if I did not know it tto be true. My OH still has the original tyres on the back of his van, an 06 Berlingo, they have done more than 82000 miles and they are still legal! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

The tyres were the original rears, 45,000, he had the front ones changed a while ago. His colleagues Audi had to have new tyres at 15,000.
I will update when he has it serviced because he's going to ask Lexus to check the tracking. I still think them 'cushions' (humps) have a lot to answer for.

The speed humps might be the cause of the rear tracking being wrong0
