W850i Keypad Lock

My biggest gripe about this phone at the moment is that when it is in my pocket I keep ringing the last number. It says it is on phone lock, but quite obviously it isn't. Is there a total lock that I can do?

press the power button briefly and choose to lock the keypad from the menu you get

That is what I do and get the picture of the key. The problem is when it is in my pocket you can quite easily unlock it and ring someone from the calls list....What I wondered can you lock the front keys? (If you press both large round buttons together it unlocks)

Try the 'phone lock' option, where you need to enter a 4 digit pin. it is set to 0000 by default. the menu is under 'Settings - General - Security - Locks - Phone protection - protection'. Then change the code

Tried that, but you can still unlock it quite easily....

that only works with the sim card, so if the sim is changed the phone wont accept any sim unless you put the original sim back in

What I do with mine is put it in my jeans pocket so that the screen, and the buttons, face outwards, and the camera faces my leg.

As my jeans pockets are quite tight, it tends not to roll around, and the only side that gets bumped is the side facing my leg, which has no buttons on it.

Sorted.

That's what I've started doing. The only worry I have is I'm going to walk into a corner of the table or something and smash the screen.

I like the phone, but the two big buttons for the key lock annoy me! Hopefully they'll come to the sense and fix it with a software upgrade. There's too much time given to unlock too.
