W850i Crashing Laptop

My W850i when attached via USB cashes my laptop. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix the problem?

    Dont install any drivers just let the pc pick the phone up as a memory card then put the phone into file sharing mode and it shoul work ok.

    Should I not install PC Suite that came with the phone? If not by deleting it will it delete the drivers?

    No just let Windows detect the phone as a flash drive

    Tried that and it crashed. It only crashes on file transfer & not phone mode.

    try plugging it into a different usb port

    or if that dont work try plugging the lead into the computer then into the phone and vice versa

    Done all of that, but still crashes in file transfer mode only.

    remove the se software and driver, then plug the phone in again and let windows install the drivers from the disk

    Is the driver called, 'PL-2303 USB Serial Driver'
