    Hi Retire

Our Your Say customer panel (28k members) told us that they’d like to see a product with a free energy element as well as advice on lowering their energy use.

So, we’re trying something new with our E.ON Energy Fit plan, I’m sorry it’s causing some confusion.
    Accidental,of course.;)

This is a fixed term plan that runs for 24 months, you’ll pay by monthly Direct Debit and we won’t claim any payments on months 12 and 24.
Fixed term not fixed price. Annual charges recovered over 11 months making monthly payments higher and paid in advance.

In addition to this, you’ll receive 1 free month of energy per year. We’ll work this out as 1/12th of your annual energy charges for the previous 12 months and credit your account at the end of the year.
Free meaning the unit price more than pays for it along with the lost 8% Direct Debit discount .

This plan is eligible for Tesco Clubcard points and does not offer any additional discounts for payment by Direct Debit or online management.

Hope this clears things up a little, it’s not going to suit everybody (anybody?) of course and if you’re still not sure then a comparison site is always a good idea or just give me shout and I’ll be happy to help.

    Amanda :)

:rotfl:I can believe 28k customers voted for free energy.I can believe around 28 might have voted to replace 8% DD discounts with a 1/12th saving.(approx 8%), which they have to wait a year for and commit to a two year deal. .Price rises making it an exit fee.

How does the zero spring balance policy operate with this now 1/11th recovery rate?

I checked out the Plan on a Comparison Site and it was £445 dearer than my exisitng contract. Luckily that took into account the free element. :D

It's nice to see Eon putting down a marker towards tariff simplification and transparency.
