Feedback hassler...

Well, I decided to not leave feedback at all. I sent him a message reminding him that feedback wasn't obligatory and if he didn't stop hassling me for feedback then if I was to leave any it would reflect it. I also asked him to please not contact me again.
All went quiet until this last few days when all of a sudden I get helpful reminders that I 'Still have not left any feedback!', and he is 'still waiting for feedback'. He now has his feedback, a shiny new negative I'm afraid. I stated that although the product was good I do not appreciate being harangued for feedback. 5 stars for everything bar a 1 star for communication.
And in answer to martindow, no, funnily enough he's not left any for me.0 -
Can't argue with that! One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

It's my pet hate too being constantly harrassed for feedback by sellers so I now my feedback says
"happy with the product; dislike being told to leave feedback!"
~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

Just wondering if the seller was fairly new and needed the positive feedback to release the payment before the obligatory 21? days. If the purchase price was high that would make their urgency for feedback more understandable.
If that was the case then I can understand their 'hassleing' you, although their communication could have made that explicit.
Not sure negative feedback albeit a 'shiny one' was necessarily the response the seller deserved. Yes, mark the stars down for communication, that could be fair but, if the item was as described and received in good time then a negative seems a little OTT (to me).
Onlookers only ever see part of the game so I'm prepared to be
overuled.0 -
No seller is far from new and has several hundred feedback ( including a few negs for other things).
I had politely asked to be left alone and chose not to leave feedback however, with the start of his messages again I felt that enough was enough.0 -

Ah, maybe the negatives have a bearing on their urgency for positive feedback?
Ebay can be a bit of a mine field can't it? Glad I only dip my finger in now and then mainly as a buyer, occasionally as a seller.0 -
It's ironic that eBay is based around feedback yet buyers get the item and are happy with it but don't leave feedback straight away.0

It annoys me. I know it isn't a requirement to leave feedback but on my business account less than 50% of the people I have sold to have left feedback. I leave feedback as soon as I have posted the item out. I would never contact someone and ask them to leave feedback though, thats out of order.0 -

I think eBay by default send out feedback reminders after either 4 or 6 weeks. I don't know if you can alter this or not, so you may be requesting feedback without even realising it.It may sometimes seem like I can't spell, I can, I just can't type0
