Go ape adventure days out any good?

Hi all,
Looking at the site https://www.goape.co.uk anyone been? any discounts available? What is best there? What to avoid?

Also it says no under 10's which is a problem, anyone know of the same theme idea that allows 6 year olds?

Thank you xxx

  • I've been to the Go Ape course at Grizedale forest and it was excellent. It cost just £20 each and we were on the course for 3 and a half hours. It's not for the faint hearted and after a full safety demonstration you are responsible for clipping yourself onto the wires/ropes but it is really good fun!

We have been to a similar place in Annecy. It is good fun, but very hard work and once you are on a particular 'element' of the course it is impossible to turn around if you think you are not going to make it to the end. I missed out several on the run we did because frankly I thought I would have never have finished !

The one in Annecy did not allow kids under 1.40m to do the proper run. My daughter who was just over 1.40m striggled to so the the test element but the instructor immediately said that she had to do the children's run (which was much simpler) My daughter was very disappointed ( she is 10), however having done the rest of the course I can see why she was prevented from doing it It is not just about being tall enough , strength and stamina are also vital

  • My daughter and her friends went to Go Ape Grizedale and loved it. She is not the most adventurous person in the worls and said it was a bit scary at times but well worth it. Girls in the office also went for a hen night and gave it 5*

Do it - I would if my wife would but she says no
