All Orange customers upgrading to Iphone 4S pls note!

Got an upgrade from my previous 18 month contract to a new 2 year contract with the Iphone 4s 32 Gb with the following
Paid 189 for the handset
+line rental 36/month
For this one gets
2200 crossnetwork minutes
+Unlimited landline
+Unlimited Internet(Not capped like previous Orange tariffs)
+unlimited texts
+Magic numbers

==============
To get this tariff , ask for the PAC code and wait, after 2 days the disconnections team will call you and offer the matching tariff to Threes "One Tariff" BUT in addition ,if asked they will also give you unlimited landlines !!!

Glad I waited as this tariff wasnt apparently available even a week back!!

So you are trying to say paying £1054 for a phone / usage for 2 years is a bargain?

Can I sell you my half eaten sandwich for £500?

Obviously your post would need to read " paying £1054 for an (I)phone / usage for 2 years is a bargain.

Not just a phone ,its the I phone!

He's actually only paying £23.00 a month for the usage which for what the tariff is , is quite good.

But you have to ask yourself am I going to use all this ?

This is another trick that they use to make you "think" your getting a good deal.

They look at your usage offer you a lot more in the hope your usage doesn't increase.

I think that isn't a bad deal -- my wife's (Orange) contract runs out in a few days and I will probably try to do something similar to that.

I am slightly limited by providers (Just Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone) as O2 and Three do not work in the house.

It's a decent deal if you're going to use all those minutes (here's a hint, you won't)

I'm slightly dubious about this deal. I've never once in two years seen an iPhone tariff on Orange modified. And certainly not to this extent!
  • Seems this deal is very similar to the Three standard deal

    Includes:
    • 2000 any network minutes
    • 5000 texts
    • 5000 Three-to-Three minutes
    • All-you-can-eat Data
all that for £35 a month and a £99 upfront cost. Thats without haggling and it works out cheaper. Though ofcourse you would have to deal with the morons at three and their offshore service centres.

Actually I have been trying over the last 2 years to get a decent Iphone deal without success which is why on my last contract I went with the blackberry on unlimited landlines,I have been with Orange for 10 years and was on 900 mins +unlimited landlines for 35 pounds a month.
My average use of minutes per month comes to 2600 minutes/month over the last 18 months , thats both business and personal usage!

I did try as soon as the new Iphone came out without luck which is why I asked for the PAC number, then came this surprise call from Orange disconnections and as he put it , it was a last ditch resort to keep my business!

And to all you doubters out there,I will scan and put on a copy of the T&Cs/bill when I get them!!
