Well today what a difference 24 hours make, failed to get sweep to take his tablet this morning and couldnt get him to come near me then my 10 year old grand daughter came in picked him up and spent the next half hour cuddling him, then took the tablet and put it in some cheese spead and gave it to him no problem. she then took him in to the kitchen and hand fed him off a spoon i ask you until he decided he was hungry after all and finished the dish.

he wont go near anybody else but seems to trust her implicitly. i have told her she has to come back twice a day for the next week to ensure he takes the rest of his medicine.

Sooty is well settled and seems to have found his favourite spot to sleep ---on top of my knitting box in amongst all the wool.

I now have loads of pics and will get them uploaded tomorrow if someone can tell me how to do it i woud be grateful as i have never put pics on before.

They are both using the litter tray no prob so far so good.
  • There are children like that - I think they just know instinctively the right body language to give animals - and she had the advantage of not being anything like an adult animal shelter worker, nurse or vet. Sweep should start feeling more relaxed as the week goes on, and as long as you get lots of cuddles from his favourite person (DGD), he'll probably join in with you :)

Although when they get comfortable is when the mischief starts.... :D
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

    To post a pic.....

Upload it to a photo hosting site such as Photobucket
Once done, there will be a lot of codes under the uploaded pic, choose the one marked "IMG code"
    Copy the code
Come back to your post here & click on the image button (looks like a yellow envelope with mountains & a stamp on)
Paste the code in & remove IMG] from both ends

Or you can copy the link that says IMG thumb then you get small pictures which we can click on to enlarge. I just paste the link dorect into my response as I type and it comes up fine.
They are lovely, so sweet to hear that your grand daughter gets on so well with them already.
Oh....and good luck with the fur shedding, white cats are very good at it.

Hi I am finding that out finding white hairs everywhere, but hubby's job to hoover, and dust and polish and wash floors so he just has to do it more often.!!!

My grand daughter absolutelyloves them, funily I have had many more visits since Friday night when they arrived. Oh god is it only a few days it feels like they have always been here, hubby even went shopping in his lunch hour for toys as he didnt want them to get lonely whilst we were out. And my adult son who doesnt live with us any more came home at lunch time to keep them company because they cant possibly be allowed to be on there own all day.

Sooty loves this laptop, he is fascinated by the flashing lights and just sits on my lap staring at the screen for ages, not sure it is healthly for him at all.

what a difference a week makes.
