Windsor Associates - Advertising in Tesco

  • These guys approached my business. So I checked with Tesco who stated they have no link or agreement with them and would not use this form of marketing. Its just another scam!

Besides, Tesco is fine for the weekly shopping, but not most folks first choice for business networking.
  • I was approached by Windsor Associates and I went ahead with them and all be it, at times they can be slow to changes my advert or getting back to me, they do what they say. They advertise me in Tesco. I have had a decent return. Nothing phenomenal but enough business to cover the cost and I am now getting repeat customers. The board in my store was also moved. I contacted Windsor and they had it moved to a better location. Not immediately, admittedly but they did move it. I wouldn't call them a "scam". They are an advertising business and anyone in business who advertises know it works. What level of success you get depends on certain factors. My business does well with Tesco customers and the demographic is right for me. Read the above comment from Wickes. "BEST THING HE EVER DID" Why does it work for that guy and not the rest? Maybe his ad is better or more visually stimulating. In business you need to advertise and I for one am glad I have worked with Windsor. My one complaint. They won't send any business cards to me. I have to go get them from the store if I want to use any. Your call.
  • - Their Salesmen - FULL OF LIES

I have just signed up to this service based on the fact that the salesman said he worked for Wickes and that Wickes would recommend my company.

I spoke to my local store the next day and they told me that they do not recommend anyone to customers and that the salesman did not work for them.

He took payment over the phone and we signed contracts in a pub. I have sent them a letter from my solitor asking for a refund and to canel my contract.

The salesman has since phoned me and confirmed everything said in the meeting and said he does not know why the store staff would have said what they did. Then I called there office and the lady I spoke to said that Wickes staff would not be able to recommend companies and the best they could do was point them at the board where cards are kept.

The salesman told me that the designers would give out my details directly to customers and this is not the case.

The man did not work for Wickes, this makes the contract void. "My name" was clearly induced into signing the agreement as a result of the false representations by "salesmans name". Taken from my solicitor's letter to WRT Group.

Plase do not sign a contract with this company and insted take 10min of your life to write an email to the store they said they worked for. Large stores will not be impressed by these cowboy salesmen's techniques.

If you want any further information from me, please leave a message as I will check for new ones.

Google either Storemedia / Windsor Associates / Wickes Link a Trade, you will find unhappy customers on the first page of some search engines.
