Beware Greg Nicholson golf shop

I would not normally bother going to this effort, but I thought I should bring this to the attention of online (golf) consumers - avoid Greg Nicholson like the plague.

The service has been amazingly poor and I would not use this company again if it was the last golf shop on God's green earth.

Very unprofessional, took WEEKS to refund my money and only did so after several reminders: do not believe a single promise they make to you: just empty words.

They advertise equipment they do not stock, take an age to deliver (when they persuade you to accept an alternative) and do not care at all about customer satisfaction......it could of course just be that I had a bad experience, but it lasted WEEKS and WEEKS.

Use any other golf shop for your own sanity and peace of mind.

I am having the same amount of grief getting a refund for an item they no longer in stock. "Greg I don’t what a RBZ or a Cleveland driver I want my money back" They keep saying it’s on its way that was weeks ago. I am having to contact the bank for help. Advise you keep a copy of the invoice at payment as they don’t email you with confirmation. Sorry Greg You have let me down and I was a good customer. Now People be wary.

I was amazed join this site to shill this company

Why do people register accounts to try and shill these abysmal companies. Do they really think we're going to believe someone who registers and immediately posts in support of a company that is getting a lot of bad press? I recommend people press the spam button on the quoted post.

  • Another very unsatisfied customer here! Ordered a pair of winter golf boots with this firm, took money immediately then contacted me to say didn't actually have item in stock but were trying to source elsewhere. Gave them a week but still no joy so requested refund. Was assured this would be done on the day and could be expected within 3 weeks. Here I am five weeks, several phone calls and worthless assurances later having to go through credit card company's complaints procedure to recover my money. Do Not Use this Firm, they have no concept of customer service or proper business ethics.

Yes, steer WELL clear of Greg, "guys". (Paul Webb AKA Greg Nicholson). My partner visited his shop to purchase a specific brand/style of golf shoe to replace his worn pair. Greg Nicholson was unable to supply required size. He wasn't for letting my partner leave the shop without parting with his hard earned money !!!
Consequently, he talked my partner into ordering and paying for another style from the same brand giving him his assurance that they were the EXACT same fit as the his present shoe, as Mr Nicholson was unable to provide a pair for my partner to try.
When the shoe EVENTUALLY arrived they did not fit.
He has refused to issue a refund, only a credit note, with a time limit !! Suggesting my partner buys 'a bag or something !'.
No Greg, he wants his money back !!
So, 4 months on, STILL unresolved. This company is EXTREMELY unprofessional, BEWARE !!
  • Yet another totally dissatisfied person here. I strongly suspect I have been doubly deceived by being overcharged for inferior quality goods. It has been very difficult to prove this and, from his customer antagonistic behaviour, it could be argued that the proprietor has taken full advantage of his economic use of a full and truthful description of the goods. I came away unhappy and with the impression that the person I dealt with took relish in this. I was left thinking about the sales shark's adage - "A sale is a sale and screw them for what you can get". I wonder if Nicholson/Webb subscribes to this ethos. Perhaps the manner in which the "no returns or exchanges" policy is displayed gives an insight.
