Completed on sale but vendors won't leave!!

Ok apparently it’s moved on and may be solved but nobody is 100% yet.
Apparently the vendor’s problems were that when their solicitor came to transfer the funds this morning for their purchase (They are buying a new build) the funds weren’t enough to cover the purchase. God knows how that happened and I thought that was supposed to be ascertained at exchange. Anyway according to the estate agent it’s sorted and he told my parents to go around and collect the keys from them! My parents told the estate agent that they expected the keys at the estate agents office as they didn’t want to have to go around to see them face to face after all this.
Fingers crossed its sorted but I am not 100% that anyone is sure at the moment.0 -

It is very common for Completion to be delayed well into the afternoon for any number of reasons. Most common is a long chain and money passing down it from property to property, but CHAPS transfers go wrong too, or a miscalculation in the amount.......
99 times out of 100 ( or 999 out of 1000) things are resolved and an understandable explanation is received by 4 pm/4.30
In this case it took till 3.21.
Stressful, yes, but OOoohhh so common.0
