Morning all
Today is the start of my holidays :j:j  :j:j but it is going to be a loooong day! Leaving here at 12pm, but not flying til 9.30pm from Heathrow! I am due into Paddington at 3.30pm and I'm meeting a friend from Camp America there for a couple of hoursbefore heading to the airport.
In true OS/MSE stylee I am making a packed lunch to take with me, and have loaded my Kindle with lots of books. Hoping it's not too cold on the train though.
I had a lovely evening with date boy last nightwe ordered a takeaway rather than going out, and watched a movie. I think I will miss him whilst I'm away.
OS wise - I'm going to change my bedding so have nice clean bedding to come home to, need to make packed lunch.
I'm away for a month, but will try and post occasionally when I have internet access, don't miss me too much:rotfl:. First stop Hong Kong :T.
Bye

Good morning all,
Half term begins today for me, dd didn't get up until 7.45 which is quite an achievement :rotfl:
It's not to cold here today and it's dry so will be pegging out washing when it's done.
Have just done some online banking, why is it that the company's you have finished your debt with still manage to find a way to take another payment from you??:mad: GRRR!!! So I'll be off to the bank in abit, phone calls are pointless!!
Also need to get the last bits for dd's bday party, 8 days to go (her countdown not mine)
Not much else goin on so will do some arts and crafts with dd after lunch and she can help me make some muffins, Turkey stir-fry for tea and then dd has beavers. I'm popping in to see a friend whilst she's there for a little catch up.
Then I'll be home intime to catch the bidding wars on my ebay items :rotfl:Only 3 items ending tonight but all have bids and all have loads of watchers so should be fun :rotfl:
Have a great day all and hugs to anyone in need xxxMarch grocery challenge 147.28 / 150.00 :j

Morning all,
another cold one here. It is sunny though so the washing's out on the line and will hopefully be drying well.
I finish at lunchtime today (can't wait!) so will be going to my Grandad's this afternoon and see if he needs any help with his cleaning. Made some HM biscuits the other night so will take some of those round with me. Have brought some lunch with me again so won't be tempted by the friday bacon sarnie run.
Quiet night in this evening, OH has an all day thing at a Rugby club tomorrow (he agreed to it ages ago, before his LBM). To be fair to him, he's been really good all week and this is all still new to him so overall am really proud of how he's doing so far. He proudly informed me yesterday that he hadn't taken his wallet to work :T.
Won't be a NSD for me either tomorrow as off to Northampton with my sister. Am hoping to get a few bits for Christmas so had better check my list this evening. I started knitting some gloves last night, so that's one present underway.
Well, had better go and do some work! Have a good one all, thanks for the warm welcome and looking forward to getting to know you all. :j0 -
flutterby -have a great holiday. hope everything goes swimmingly. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Morning all, before and after!
It's a dreich day in Glasgow and I'd really rather climb back into bed than get dressed and start the day. William saw the vet yesterday (this after losing a fight the day before) and has various wounds so has a 10--day course of antibiotics to take. And my purse is £40 lighter
Have done the swish 'n' swipe for this morning and am washed and dressed. Going down to the library in a little while and then plan to spend the rest of the day reading - possibly in bed!Household: Laura + William-cat

morning!
off to work later, having my haircut first then popping a home dye on it so I dont look like a badger:D
Got some potato and celery soup cooking ready for lunch.
Have had a quick swish through the house and the WM is on.
Had a call from DS1 last night - he'd run out of petrol(luckily he was at the supermarket where there was a garage) but was absolutely skint till he gets paid as he'd just spent the last of his money on food.
This is the second time this week I've had to send him some cash via internet banking - wish he'd get his finances sorted out.
Flutterby - hope you have a wonderful trip! x x
Molly - I love F*t Face clothes too:) - managed to get a lovely top from a charity shop recently so was well chuffed! its the sort of shop I look in but like you cant really justify the expense very often.
Have a great day all xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Morning everyone.
Not a good start to the day for me. I overslept (my husband has a cold and snored all night, bless him), and my kids being wonderful (or trying to avoid the nagging) thought they'd leave me to rest
Soo, I finally crawled out of my pit at 8.40 to realise the time and oh heck, the 8 year old isn't ready. The older two had left already.
Now is when I am thanking my lucky stars that I made sure my daughter had what she needed for her cookery class last night, and made sure the lunches were all ready to go.
Uniforms were sorted and ready.
PE kits were sorted and ready.
He was just a minute or two late....without organisation it could have been a whole lot worse
Lazy momma today. I'm feeling thoroughly ashamed of myself staying in bed till that time
I'm wondering which of the helpful souls turned the alarm off when it was supposed to wake me up :rotfl:
Time to grab a nice coffee....and a paracetamol. I think my husband gave his cold to me
Flutterby - have a fab holiday! Room in that suitcase for me?
yikes notjustlaura - hope william is better soon. Sometimes cats behave worse than teenagers! I was always at the vet with fight wounds when I had my cat. Silly puss.
NPM -I hope you find some solution soon. Stay strong.
Hugs to everyone else before this post turns into war and peace!Proud to be dealing with my debts :T

Morning everyone
Why oh why does my mum get the hump so easily? CBA to go into details but I always get accused of biting her head off and yet she can never accept that she overreacts  Not the best way to start my morning I can tell you.
Off to Tesco this morning as a friend gave some coupons where you can buy saucepans for under £20. They have a non stick griddle one and I've wanted one for ages but never wanted to justify the cost. According to the spec this one should RRP £59.99 and with these coupons get it for £17.99. Here's praying they have one in stock.
Cat didn't wake me last night :T:T:T so her using the cat flap is working. Sadly DS woke me instead  He was crying saying he was hungry  It was the middle of the night and he'd had loads for tea, couple of twinks after that etc. The night before it was DD and it's been like this all week. Do they make a pact or something and decide to take it in turns?!
Anyway got dough proving for a loaf, sewing to do this afternoon (making a taggie blanket for a friend) and the usual running around for school runs. Got one load of washing to hang and another one in the WM. I swear the washing breeds over night
Tea will be HM "cornish" pasty and chips as H is working late booooo
hugs and spoons all round. have a good day OS or not.
flutterby - travel safe, have a great time and I am SOOOOOO jealous of your month long holiday :rotfl::rotfl: just don't rub it in too much when you get chance to postI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Morning everyone, I feel like this thread has become my daily fix - I look forward to reading it each day.
Its definitely chilly here now (herts) in the mornings and its a struggle to get up for work by Friday!
I put a load in the WM before work and there is another load to be done this evening. Beds will be changed and washed tomorrow - hopefully I will be able to line dry.
Im planning a "nesting" weekend - this is what I call it when I stay in all weekend doing cleaning and baking - I love it!
Off to the supermarket at lunchtime for the couple of bits I forgot - and I want some lemons for a lemon drizzle cake.
Other than that not much to report - will do some more Christmas planning this weekend too.
Have a good day everyone.
