Hmm. So a loan shark is someone who lends money illegally. So Wonga have been legalised to lend money illegally?
Cool.0 -
I wasn't trying to be helpful.
Normally I do try but to be honest the general level of education amongst the average PDL complainant is such that I don't feel help can be effected. I just felt like sharing that on this one occasion. I probably won't again.
I find it amusing that you have the gumption to criticise other people for their spelling and punctuation when you clearly don't know the difference between effected and affected!0 -

Fair enough. But, where do you think Wonga's desperate victims would go for the cash they need/want?0 -
I thought the function of this forum was to help out those in difficulty. Quite often it's the less educated and intellectually able who fall into this category.
Now, you can look at a post containing poor spelling or punctuation and think "I'll make myself look clever by taking the pi$$" or you can think "This person looks like they need some help; what can I do?"
So, are we here to help or to ridicule those who need us? Your call. Can I help?0 -
In reply to the OP, get yourself a new bank account and email Wonga with a repayment plan. Do not give them your card details or bank account details. Make the monthly payment by standing order or via internet banking.
Also go to the Consumer Action Group website for real help and advice.
The people there won't judge you or waste your time with silly remarks!0 -

Well played!

You sure about that?
to be effected = to be brought into effect
help cannot be brought into effect = long way of saying they can't be helped
to be affected - doesn't really make sense.
I may be wrong but I think that effected was the correct word.0 -

Only two choices? Oh dear. You've offered no help to the OP, so I guess you've ridiculed them.
Hello pot. Have you met kettle before?0 -

Sorry, was I spoiling your little bullying game?
I was going to ask you whether you were a "helper" or a "mocker" but a look at your recent posting history has rendered the question unnecessary. Can I help?0
