I love posts like this, not for the human tragedy, but for the sheer indignation shown by the people who've had their accounts raided.shellyb_66 wrote: »i have just had the same happen to me, took out a long back in may got made redundant so could payback, got a agreement set up with them to take a set amount each month, having gone back through my records they took nothing. i started a new job and have just got my 1st pay cheque in nearly 6 mths and found that they have taken the full amount leaving me with virtually nothing. I know have to find some way to borrow the money in order to pay my rent, bills etc.
I would never ever suggest anybody ever uses them again.

Is it just me that doesn't see the point in posts like this? Yes, Wonga are only taking the money owed and it will all be in the T&Cs no doubt but if just one person reading this thread doesn't use these rip off merchants after reading this thread then I don't see the problem.0 -
But that's the issue, isn't it. They're not rip off merchants. They're just providing the service they say. It's a last chance saloon for people who no other lender will trust. If you don't pay them back, don't expect them to just wander off muttering, "oh well, that's more money we'll just write off".0

Not just that but if you look at the spelling, grammar, punctuation, formatting, and phrasing, it's clear to see why this mess occurred in the first place...Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

I had a cash flow problem.I only needed the cash for one day.
The service was great.I got charged around £5, but £15 tracked through quidco.0 -

You're such a clever, self righteous and overall helpful being aren't you? There's no need for this kind of reply or attitude.0 -

I wasn't trying to be helpful.
Normally I do try but to be honest the general level of education amongst the average PDL complainant is such that I don't feel help can be effected. I just felt like sharing that on this one occasion. I probably won't again.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Izools - You and alot of people who read that post know that your reply was wrong, and also your last reply is ignorant as well. Why anyone would want to talk about someones "level of education" in reply to their problem is beyond me. So if in fact some people who are in dire straits are such deadbeats, and a bit dim and who you "don't feel help can be effected", then evidently you believe the best way to remedy this is to belittle and insult them.
With the amount of rubbish posted on this website recently, i don't think this is helping much. If someone has got genuine advice then that's great, but it's plain ugly seeing keyboard warriors slagging people off, for their own gratification.0 -

You've really got a bee in your bonnet haven't you? why don't you spend less time commenting on other people's posts with rubbish, and post something useful yourself?"We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0 -

I understand clearly what Izools is saying. Spelling, grammar and punctuation all make things easier to read and if not used correctly project a certain image of the person posting. That coupled with their apparent inability to understand why their bank account is empty despite them "owing the money BUT making a deal" with the PDL company to only take 15% of what is owed and then to start using phrases like "rip-off merchants", "con-men", "thieves" and "scum" always surprises me.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
