Last week I got pulled over by the police for speeding. 30 MPH in a 20 MPH. This is my first offence and have already surrendered my documents to the local police station. However, when coming to pay for the fine today, I noticed that the officer who issued the ticket, put the wrong year on the date of the offence, 2006 instead of 2007. Does this mistake make my endorsment void..is it worth me trying to get out of it and what chances does anyone think of me being successful?..any replies would be muchly appreciated

You could try it...but I think it would be much better to take it like a man, and accept the consequences of speeding, which you have already admitted that you were....Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. And if you don't, you'll have a speeding fine to pay and court costs too0

Have a look on here for all the help you need.
Agreed.
Ok you were speeding and you admit it.
BUT, if you pay for THAT ticket your paying for an offence you DIDNT commit!
If they issue a correct ticket you'd happily pay, but your admitting to something you didn't do which is something different!
Its not being dishonest in my opinion. If you agree to "murder" its a specific one, not any old murder rite?(sorry, i dont condorse murder, its prob a bad example but hey)

Think of it positively - if you accept the ticket with the offence dated 2006, it'll be off your licence one year early!Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
