Minimum call charge query

I see that T-Mobile has a 5p Minimum Call Charge on their PAYG tariffs. Can someone tell me, if I made a 2 minute call on the Everyone tariff would I be charged 12p/min plus 5p MCC, total 29p, or does the MCC only apply to calls under the one minute charge, leaving the total just 24p?

I disagree. See http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/Dispatcher?menuid=ctl_change_state&nextpageid=help_ob_p&customerCategory=personal for full details. Their rules state "Calls are charged by the second (unless otherwise
stated) and rounded up to the nearest penny." and "All chargeable calls will be subject to a minimum
charge of 5p per call unless otherwise stated." Therefore I think 24p total

A minimum call charge is the minimum amount you will be charged per call, thus will only be relevant if the call charge is below it.

An example: Minimum charge is 5p and the call you are making is 12p/min charged to the nearest second. Your call lasts 20 seconds, so the charge (at 12p/min) is 4p, but this is below the minimum charge, so you are therefore charged 5p for the call. You then make a 2 minute call so you are charged 24p.

muffinhead, you appear to be confused with a connection charge which works by adding it on to the value of the call.

For example: Connection charge 5p and call charge 12p/min. A call that lasts 20s will cost 4p plus 5p connection which is 9p. A two minute call will cost 24p plus 5p which is 29p.
