  • Awwww, silly *blushes* thank you.

*Dons ancient non-ebay-worthy posh frock, and steps up to the mic* I would like to thank you all for your continued support - without which I could not have got this far; your constant theft of my counters - without which I would not have been able to test my 'shopping for exactly what you came for, and nothing else' skills, and your general you-ness which has kept me sane (or laughing hysterically) since joining the set in October...

*notes the loud 'gerroff the stage' music* umm, and I'd like to thank my mum and dad, and, um, the ferret wrangler - without which we'd have been overrun...and Mars, for making Galaxy Counters - sponsers of most of my work to date....

    :D

Lol! Redundancy settlement hasn't turned up yet (to be fair, I was warned that the company handling it 'tries' to get the payment in as close to your last day as possible...) - so not quite debt free just yet!

However, in the right ethos I've just spoken to my bank to let them know the settlement is coming (stops them ringing me in a blind panic due to the 'unusual activity'...which means there's money going in rather than rushing out!), plus I've attempted to cancel one of the credit cards...but apparently you can't do this online or over the phone - they're (wait for it) sending me a form to fill in. Well, if that ain't fully techno-savvy, and customer-servicey, I don't know what is!

Since I did get my outstanding leave and wages paid, I'm just about to ring up and pay off things like the car ins if they'll let me and the fee isn't daft - currently monthly, but without a monthly income stream, I want to reduce as many of my direct debits as possible.

Ooo, this is really good fun! Back later with more tales of 'what Nora did next'.....

that sounds a bit silly that they won't let you cancel over the phone or online.

    Doesn't it!

Had fun with trying to pay off my total car ins as well - poor we chappie couldn't confirm the repayment figure as his finance people weren't answering their phones.... and I then managed to miss each of his four call backs this evening! Ah well...tomorrow is another day etc. etc. :D
