unixgirluk wrote: »Nora, you know I suffer from the same lack of motivation. I have a mountain of stuff to do and just can't seem to do it. My study/craft room is a...... quick shut the door before anything escapes! But I have started doing 5 minutes here and there with things. I did this last saturday, managed to get 3 loads of washing done, kitchen cleaned, toilet cleaned, other odds and ends and my paperwork done and still found time to watch a film or two. Why not split up your tasks? Say pack one box then make a cuppa, or dust whilst your DVD is on?
oooo, that's a good idea! I'll let you know how it goes...0 -
Good luck with the motivation finding Nora, I'm having the same problem - I have boxes and I have a plan, I also now know how much stuff I need to jettison before I move....and yet am sat on the sofa in front of the lappy again. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Do just it the flylady way - a short timed-burst on something, then move onto something else.

How are you getting on Nora? The only thing I did last night was change our bed, put a new mattress protector on and swap our old 10.5 duvet for the new 13.5 tog duvet..........which resembles a big fluffy marshmallow. Can you tell I just wanted to stay in bed this morning?CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. I'll be honest - no formal packing has been done. But the pics and ornaments are down and waiting for their bubble wrap; the house is looking almost tidy, and the majority of the washing is done... you lot might be onto something...0

Or on something.

Its a start Nora, we're off to a craft show on sunday so tomorrow will be spent doing washing, tidying the house etc.....welll as well as I can with OH just finishing a night shift. Hoping SS goes out tonight and stays out all weekend so we get a bit of peace (he's not listening to advice, he has his car tax and mot due in a few weeks, found out he's spending £50 a month in blockbuster and as soon as he's paid he's off out spending like mad yet doesn't have the money to give me back my change when he went to post office for me the other day . He did have the money - that's why it's called "change". What he did in fact do, is decide that you weren't going to have it, and he was instead going to spend it on himself.
As for the spending with looming car tax - what is his worry? You'll bail him out like you've always done.
I hope you've started packing Nora...
