I would say if your making them straight into those size bottles go for about 6 to 8 sweets, but bash them small. I'll be totally honest and say your cutting it fine for xmas.
There one of those things that i've found you can't add more sweets, I made a batch of christmas pudding vodka, but put too many ingredients in looked like cough mixture, but managed to decant it and put half vodka mix and then topped ip with vodka, with a good shake it worked, think it was more luck than judgement.

Iv just made a bottle of peardrop vodka, i just popped in a quarter of pear drops and the sweets had dispersed within 4 hours. Any it tastes and smells a treat
Thinking about doing a cola cube one now0 -

The christmas pudding came out a bit to think like cough medicine, so I put half the amounr into a bottle and topped up with plain vodka, luckly its mixed well.
Its gorgeous, once you take the lid off it just smelt like haing an xmas pud wafted under our nose xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
The Worthers vodka we've done is mixing well. Lovely golden creamy colour. Will split into the small bottles soon. Going to go for the chilli one tonight. Using scotch bonnets so I'm sure it'll be firey enough by xmas!:rudolf: :xmassmile0

Most stuff breaks up pretty quickly, if your doing a sweet based, - jelly baby, werthers, cola cube etc, - bash them smaller
Fruit only takes couple of days, your have it ready for new year. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
I am going to give it a go. Hopefully it will be ready for new years eve.
I shall try using those sour apple flavour sweeties. And I will try making some with sherbet lemons.
I love sour stuff!

Don't forget limoncello, folks: zest or peel of two lemons, one stalk of lemongrass (split lengthwise) and a few tablespoons of sugar. It's much quicker with lemon zest but does get there eventually with peel too. Makes a lovely addition to a Christmas morning buck's fizzzzzzzz hic! :beer:They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.0
