werthers vodka is our favourite. We did a lot of taste testing and this was the best. Although we do like skittles, but definatley seperate it into different colours.

Do you mean rather than just bunging it a handful of mixed skittles? Is that not very nice? Because that's what I had thought to do!

to avoid any surface scum or straining
once the vodka is ready (the sweets have dissolved etc)

place the bottle in the freezer for a week or so
    it wont freeze
and once you take it out, shake again and you will have a lovely thick, scum free/bits free vodka, the consistancy of baileys/dooleys etc

minty humbugs, the stripey ones give a much better flavour than the glacier mints, as it has a toffee hue from it as well

I did it with the skittles mixed - it tasted great but was a very odd colour. It depends what you're going for. Everyone who tried it loved it once they got past the weird orangey colour it went!

Separating them means each tastes of the individual flavour. Personally if you have time do a small taster bottle of each way and see which you like best :-D

I think it's the green skittles that causes the dodgy colour!

For cheaper bottles someone on here a while ago suggested buying cheap white vinegar, use it for something such as pickling or cleaning if you like Aggie and then use the bottles :)

I buy the red/white wine vinegar bottles, decant the vinegar into something else, thoroughly wash/de-label and use these.

I get mine in Asda/Tesco for around 70-80p a bottle
Trying very hard to be frugal and OS - just plodding on and doing my best!

http://www.instructables.com/id/Shoot-the-Rainbow-Skittles-Vodka/ Don't you just love the colours! Someone has made 'love potions' out of orangina bottles. Can you still get the teardrop orangina bottles?

    Here's a recipe I've tried and it's lovely!

We left ours 4 weeks. It goes a honey coloured but it tastes fab!

    HTH :D
