If you desperatly need the money now, do a second chance offer
How do you do a Second Chance Offer when there is only one bid?

I beg to differ, I would call it a scam! Something similar happened to me.

There was a "team" of fake bidders buying all the expensive nokia n73 phones etc, just so they could get a better price for their own phone they was selling.

I had to list my phone 3 times, finally as a buy it now.

One of these "scammers" also left me neg ruining my 100% rating just before he was suspended.

Ebay couldn't give a S**t! I sent loads of e-mails to them, all that happened was a few of their accounts was suspended.

I feel for your situation partysis81. You should file a non paying bidder report as soon as. This way you will get back your fees. (If they don't respond you will get your fees then can leave them a neg without fear or receiving one yourself) Also report them through the e-mail.

Only offer a second chance to bidders if the bid is near what it went for. As they often use a few account to bid with, hoping that you offer them your item at a reduced price. As many people can't be bothered with the hassle of re-listing and waiting another week or so, just for it to happen again.

You should change your buyer requirements to at least.

Block buyers who are registered in countries to which I don't ship.

Block buyers who have a feedback score of -1 or lower.

Block buyers who have received 2 Unpaid Item strikes in the last 30 days.

    and maybe also

Block buyers who don't have a PayPal account. (Note: This block only applies to future listings and can be disabled per item on the Sell Your Item form.)
This requirement can help you avoid Unpaid Items, as PayPal account holders have up to an 80% lower Unpaid Item rate.

Block buyers who do not have a credit card on file.
Only apply this block to buyers who have a feedback score of 3 or lower.

This will help cut out the "scammers" and still allow the genuine buyers to bid.

Sell as a "buy it now" with immediate payment required through Paypal is the best way to stop the scammers.

    Good Luck with the re-selling.
