Request - re. returning to board after posting

When you post on a thread, it takes you to the bottom of the relevant thread, but you cannot return from there to the same board to access a different thread (unless I am doing something wrong). The options at the end are "previous thread" or "next thread", but not (e.g.) "return to Old Style". The "back" button takes you all round the houses!

If I am interested in several threads, I find I have to access a different board after posting on one of them, then return to the main Old Style board to go into the next thread of interest.

We can read a thread and return to "base", but not post and go directly back.

If anyone understands what I mean, is there anything in the software to enable us to select "return to original board", after posting?

where there's a directory tree showing which forum you are in?

Near the bottom right hand corner is the box:

Forum Jump


Use the drop down box to go to the forum you need.

That's my problem Queenie - if I am already in Old Style the forum jump button won't refresh me back to the main threads list on the Old Style board, it just hangs there until I select a totally different board.

Will try to suss out what the other replies are suggesting. It must just be me, doh!

Bo.B - scroll up to the top menu bar - it's near the top of each page - you will see the "tree" for where you are above where it lists

Main Site Chat User CP FAQ etc.

Clicking on one of those will take you back.

Just want to say thank you for the explanation, all of you. I did read it yesterday, but was having a "shattered" day and didn't have the energy to post! (long boring story ). Anyway I am now about to try it out.... here goes........:A
