chanel no 5

i thought this fragrance had died a death many years ago making room for all the celebrity bottles evrywhere you go. but apparently not, my mother decided she would like a bottle for christmas as she has not had any for years.am hoping someone can point me to a way of finding a bottle at a reasonable price. there has to be a quicker and more effective way than what i have been doing which is trawling all the links offered up by google. please help am developing spots before my eyes?

  • I know that Debenhmas sell it, that's all i know. Can you get cheap Chanel no 5 ?

It's hugely overpriced, very heavy musky smell I actually don't like it.

It must be a generation thing;)

I bought my wife some from Boots last year
  • If you go to one of the Boots shopping evenings where you get £10 of points extra if you spend £50 whilst it doesn't make it cheaper it does give you money to spend on something else.
  • Wait for Debenhams xmas spectacular and you'll get vouchers for perfumes instore. I really love the smell of Chanel! :)

There is no such thing as cheap Chanel No.5 I'm afraid... you might be able to shave a few quid off through duty free if you're flying anyway or by using Boots special offers...

My son in law bought me a huge bottle of it last Christmas as it is my favourite. He may have got it duty free as he travels a lot, not sure.

It always feels special when I wear it but, because of the size of this bottle, I have been wearing it every day - what the hell, LOL, you only live once.

I still have half of it left but it may well be gone by Christmas.

BTW, you have to keep it in the box, in the dark, otherwise it does go off a bit.

I love Chanel no 5! was bought some last Christmas.

I don't find it heavy or musky, just what I call an "evening" perfume.

For the daytime I love (another really old one!) Lair Du Temps by Nina Ricci, as its fresh and a bit floral.

I would suggest Boots. I too wear this perfume but agree with the posters above that this is an 'evening perfume' as it is quite heavy...but smells gorgeous and makes me feel like a posh parisian every time I wear it!
