Where are you staying ? hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0 -
I'd suggest staying in Betws-y-Coed as it's the best base for exploring Snowdonia. There are plenty of hotels and guest houses as well as places to eat. It's also located close to the junction of the A5 and A470 which will take you to most places of interest in the area and it's also on the Conwy Valley railway line which runs from Llandudno in the North to Blaenau Ffestiniog in the South.

If you haven't already done so you also check out the North Wales Tourism website (from which you can request a brochure) - http://www.nwt.co.uk/.The fridge is empty, the walls are damp, there's no hot water
And I look like a tramp and tramps like us

We stayed at the Travelodge at Porthmadog when we visited the Snowdonia area.
Usual Travelodge quality...and cheap!0 -
Decided to go york now, hotels quite expensive there though so will probably look outside of it to stay in.
