As someone mentioned it's "up to 8mb". My friend told me a while back he got the best package deal but was only getting around 25% of it, but because he lives near me in Northumberland (ie the middle of nowhere), connection speeds are low anyway because we are so far from civilisation, sorry the nearest exchange.

I have to admit that when I first went with Sky, the experience left a lot to be desired. However after Bethere raised their prices I decided to go back to Sky Broadband, and I have to say their services this time have been flawless.

You can fork out as much as you want for the best connections, but sadly you'd only see a fraction of that depending on where you live.

Your contract was only verbal and not written - so you've got nothing to really fight about. I can understand its frustrating but unless you have written proof from Sky you're stuck.
