Congratulations to your son and to you - Mr Wang. Best wishes!0 -
Bergen is/was home to a NATO armoured corp.
I lived there for three years during the Cold War. Unlike others, I could very well understand how some of the locals could say they didn't know what was going on down the road. At that time in history you kept your nose out of other peoples business. The village of Bergen isn't really that close to the CC. You just did not go there.
Local legends had it that on certain nights of the year you could hear the trains unloading out near the camp. It's beautiful farm country. But it's in the middle of nowhere.
Celle is beautiful and worth the visit.0 -
Wow - utterly fantastic! You & your son have done a wonderful job on this & you should be very proud.
One of my boyfriend's from years ago had a grandmother who survived Auschwitz & I wanted to ask her so much but didn't dare ask. Another moving book to read is Night by Eli Weisel. Very vivid account of life in the concentration camps..
So sad when you think it all happened not that long ago, really & let us never forget...0 -
I have just got around to watching your video, well done to you both.0

Best not buy that book just yet."Never underestimate the mindless force of a government bureaucracyseeking to expand its power, dominion and budget"Jay Stanley, American Civil Liberties Union.0 -
Im very impressed that he managed to pick up polish in such a short time.
I assume he speaking Polish as I could'nt understand a word he was saying, sadly my languages only cover english, spanish and a little bit of german and swedish
Wow that is so rude!!!
I watched the video and I found it a fantastic documentary for a 9 yr old's homework project. It really went above and beyond what is required at this level. I volunteer at a local school and I am based in a class with kids ranging between 8-10, and I have not seen as much effort put into a project as what you have done. You must be very proud of your son and you must also be congratulated on the amount of time, effort and input into the making of it. I have been to Auschwitz and its a harrowing place, not somewhere I would have thought about bringing a child to but your son showed a great deal of maturity in his account of it. Well done Charlie0
