    Hi,

Not sure if you know this but you can get to Auschwitz directly from Katowice. You can either take the train from the main train station, which I think is where the airport bus drops you off (http://rozklad-pkp.pl/?q=en/node/143 - choose Katowice and Oswiecim as your from/to stops*) or you can get a bus (although I haven't found a bus timetable yet).

Lonely Planet has this to say: http://www.lonelyplanet.com/poland/malopolska/oswiecim/transport/getting-there-around And there's also this, although I'm not sure how up-to-date it is: http://www.inyourpocket.com/poland/auschwitz/arrival-transport/Getting-there/From-Katowice_59313v

If I go to Auschwitz next weekend (which is a possiblity) I'll post back with any other relevant information. If not, I might see you there...

Each to their own, pets, each to their own.

Its a private house, an individual who wrote an account or her life, personal.

Not everyone in the Tower of London wrote about their lives or from any war museum.

So your argument doesnt make sense. (or ridiculous as you so nicely put it)
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

@McKneff: You could probably also argue that had her family not stepped in and published her diary and opened her house up to the public, she'd be just another unknown victim, another nobody who died for nothing. At least now she will never be forgotten. Unlike the countless others...

Out of interest, have you ever visited (or would you visit) any of the concentration camps?

Finally got round to putting it all together into a video yesterday. The sound is a bit off in a couple of scenes but it's really only in Amsterdam (first few scenes)

Thanks for everyone's help on here in the research for the locations, this forum really was the starting point and drove my enthusiasm in the early stages of the project.

    Thanks and enjoy.
