  • *Better to self-learn and read read read read read read read read read read* Do Courses at MIT OCW that way you are in charge of your learning. Get into Theory land and thinking for yourself THEN you might feel better prepared for formal Courses out there whatever its format.
Courses are probably good for Vocational which can run alongside hard academic subjects such as French Maths English etc.

whats that got to do with my situation????
  • OK, can I point out I work for a FE College and these are the rules for 1st Level 2 funding. On face value your college appears to be wrong but there may be other circumstances to this. You could contact Next Step who will give you independant advice on training, they are very good & free. Are you studying at a GFE (General Further Education) College or a private provider?
just a college not private and im not sure what the rules are all i know is that theyve just been amended and as there funding has been cut oh i dont know but if they wont fund a barber course all i know is i need to find funding else where but yes thankyou im going to try them see if they know :D

IMHO the above would help you in the long term by helping in the academic sense of the word. If you do above and you end up on a better Course, then you might be able to get to a better job.
Only my two pence and meant well.
