Vehicle import problems

I recently imported a used motorcycle from the USA, I only saw photos of the bike, when it arrived there were various parts missing that were definately shown in the photos advertising the bike. Do I have the right to claim the cost of these parts so I can replace them here in the UK.

Comments

  • have you asked them why the parts are missing?
  • Yes. Manager says it was an old photo !! but it was sent out by the salesman dealing with me at the time. Have spoken to manager and he says will look into and reply by email but that was a week ago and dont hold out too much hope, can't afford to keep ringing the states, really just wondered about false advertising law in the states and if I can quote something in an email to him to rattle him a bit.
  • Perhaps you should seek advice on a US based website rather than a UK one?
    Thinking critically since 1996....
  • Use 18185 (google it) so calling the USA is only 0.5p/min.
