How much have you spent today and new Sunday to Friday challenge!

Hi Moozie and everyone else.
Not sure where to start with spending. I only spent £17.20 out of my original budget but have just paid £200 for having a large tree cut down and taken away - it almost blew down on Thursday in the violent storm and was no longer safe. Plus I've just had an emergency repair done on the roof with an estimate for the cost of finishing it off properly next week. Unsurprisingly roofers are in demand and prioritising the urgent work. But that will be an insurance claim albeit it I will have to pay the excess. Anyway I do have an emergencies fund which has just about covered these 2 - hope nothing else happens in the near future before the fund builds up again.
I suppose the positive side is that instead of the planned trip to the cinema we had to stay in to deal with the various contractors so today is a NSD (if I ignore the £200  ). I have also used some of the time to list a few items on Ebay.
But back to the weekly challenge - I am setting my budget for the week ahead at £21.38 excluding petrol (and roof repairs) but including any top up groceries I may need - I was a bit distracted when I went supermarket shopping on Saturday; I didn't spend anything near my weekly budget so may have missed something vital.
Hope everyone else has a good day and a low spending week ahead.0 -
Spends today:
£56.49 on main weekly grocery shop which is well over budget however it's the first time in I can't remember how long since we've gone over budget so I'm not too worried. We did have a few non foods items and a few treats as well.
Anyway that's it for today.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
Sainsburys Loan: Cleared July 2010
Credit cards: AMEX Airmiles Card: direct debit set to clear balance monthly

afternoon all,
well so far it's been a nsd, probably due to my not being out of bed for too long and still in my jim jams! i'm going to get dressed shortly and take a walk to sainsbury's, mum told me last week they had their chicken on offer, never did get round to see (it's the opposite direction form my house to everywhere else i go!), don't plan on spending much else while i'm there, but at least it'll get me out the house and a wee bit of exercise (about 30-45 mins round trip).
moozie, i'm going to make a point of reporting all my daily spends on here (i know, you've heard that before!) but i'm going to refrain from joining the challenge other than to keep unnecessary spending to a minimum. i agree it's a great thing for all the folk on here who post, but it just doesnt' seem to work for me. probably cause i don't really spend on incidentals and only ever seem to count my grocery spends.
anyway have a fabulous sunday all, don't do too much, it's a day of rest afterall! xxx0 -
