Now for anyone looking in, please feel free to join - the more the merrier! :j Basically, decide on the amount you want to spend up to from Sunday until the end of the working day on Friday then pledge it here and off we go! The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anythng else.

The reason the challenge is up to Friday is that I like to give myself a day off the counting and let my hair down a bit

Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!!

Moozie x

PS Rog2.....hope you are OK x

  • Morning all,

After my huge amount of spending in the last week (not recorded in challenge). I really need to keep my spending low until payday on Thursday.

My budget for this week is £25.00p, hopefully I will have plenty of NSD.

    Have a good Sunday all.

Hello! I've not done this before.

I'm going to start with a £40 budget for this week. This is going to include my food and all travel except my petrol for going to Nottingham for work.

This week we either spent £41.50 or £40 exactly, as I can't remember whether I included the £1.50 for my daughter's toddler group on thursday in our spending diary or not. So to be brutal I'll say we spent £41.50. lol
Going to up our target to £60 this week JUST IN CASE baby decides to put in an appearance as she's due tomorrow and I know full well hospital sandwiches aren't exactly cheap!!!

NSD for me today, with a goal of £15 for next week.

My spends last week were under 15, as I didn't run out of cash and didn't spend on the card, but I lost track and then my last week's cash got mixed with this week's cash. So I guess I'll just call it '15' and scold myself to keep better track!

Failed this week I'm afraid....target £20 spent £33, although I did have it in my mind that I had set £30, that'll teach me to write it down. :D

I was feeling fairly pleased at only going £3 over.
Ha, serves me right for putting £20 in petrol in car.

Enough witter, so for this week, petrol £20, slimming class £5.50.....and then other wicked temptations.

Challenge £35. (and yes, I will write it down at the top of my spending diary)

whatatwit - why not put it in your sig? I used to forget what I had set as my target until I did this - now there is no way I can forget ;)

Afternoon moozie wave2.gif and all wave2.gif sorry its a long post but i have lots of confessions :o

i had a terrible week this week and i have also raided my savings for college :o but nevermind... as long as i am not going into debt thats fine... so my target was £5 and i spent £51.94  that did included a birthday present but its still way too high ...

i do however have a big confession... i have now got a low balance credit card... the reason being was my brother xbox membership used to be taken off my 'debt credit cards' but i payed that off and closed it... anyway it was up for renewal and of course i didnt have the card (xbox wont take debit cards and subscribtion through shops are more expensive so i am told)... so i have new one :o it will however be payed next friday (the balance of £39.99) when my brother pays it back to me... the card has got a high interest rate so i am tempted to close the account and open up a new one in a years time for it again :rotfl: and am definatly not purchasing things on it!

now this weeks budget and todays spends... this weeks budget i will set at £9.90 (all i have in my purse and £5 of which was given to me) and todays spends are...

£2.55 ~ breakfast at work (i had to drop some money it to a collegue for avon thats budgeted from my me £40)
£0.50 ~ 2 new pens (my favourite manufacturer) for my diarys
    £0.05 ~ 5p savings pot

    total = £3.10

so a bad week last week but i am determined to make it a good one this week ... i was suposed to be getting some new shoes but i have decided to stick with my broken ones... they are letting water in but i refuse to spend more than £10 on work shoes so i will wait untill my usuall shop has some in :D...

...so all have a great week and dont spend too much :T

morning moozie - Im on a training course next week so incidentals are kinda bound to be high - Ive been wrapped in cotton wool for weeks. Im giving myself a rather generous £30 budget - anything I dont spend I'll Roll over onto a tighter budget (15) for next week.
