strange, try again maybe? - doesn't matter really it's only to tidy up your log/registry

tried again and there still there, i do get a warning before they try deleting saying something like "for some reason your system denied write access to the host file", not sure what this means.

(if you have a problem running hijackthis (For some reason your system denied write access to the Hosts file error etc) on vista/W7, right click on hijackthis.exe and run as admin, if that doesn't work, try again holding down the shift key and run as admin)

are you logged into, & running the programmes, as administrator?

personally i wouldnt use Safari, Chrome is a better alternative

thanks that seems to have done the trick now the 3 listed things above have gone i think.

yeah im logged in as administrator.

i just couldn't get used to using chrome maybe i will try it again soon then

since doing scans etc i have no sound on laptop now can anyone help with this please.

i have right clicked then left clicked to update drivers and pc says i have the latest drivers? i'm confused as it was working fine yesterday

no sound whatsoever in any program?

is the device showing as working in device manager, is the volume muted or low in sound devices

none of the suggested changes is related to sound, could you post a fresh hijackthis log so I can see if anything is missing

sorry for no reply, for some strange reason it came back a day later, but yes it was all showing as working.
