Mirrors fascinate me. If you have a mirror which is at shoulder height, then stand right up against the wall so your feet can't possibly be reflected in the mirror, how come when you look into the mirror, there are your feet reflected in it?! On second thoughts don't answer that because I won't understand and my head will explode! It's just magic, let's leave it at that :rotfl:

  • Morning all, happy Sunday.

Need to have a very productive day today as back to work tomorrow!

Chicken to pick, stock to make, followed by soup (to use up all the veggies lurking in the fridge), tidy house, hoover, sort out clothes for work ... oh my, I better make a start!

The newly organised cupboards seem to be working well, or will be once I remember where everything is!

If I finish, I feel a bit of knitting coming on .... could do with a wee scarf type thing for the evenings in the house (most of my jumpers / tops are v-necks and I'm often chilly.

Right the dreaded day is here - DS has to go shopping, I've talked about it, planned it and threatened it but it cannot be put off any longer. I wonder how quick we can do it? :D

I have fruit soaking for christmas cake that will be made when i get back and shopping coming at 6 ish - was £10 off a £70 spend at Mr S and i haven't gone over the top. I have a jumper that needs finishing off for DD. And then the great declutter is starting - room by room - piles for ebay, freecycle, charity and rubbish, clean the room top to toe and on to the next.

I think most of DS clothes may well only be fit for rags. :rotfl:

Oh well, here goes - once more unto the breach dear friends, for England, Harry and St George and all that:rotfl:
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    if they are wearable..... http://cash4clothes.co.uk/

otherwise if you give them to the charity shop, they can sell them to the ragman.

Mardatha - is Kittie's other thread (Hard Times) not more for you if this one is not hitting the right note? Not looked at it as I actually prefer the chattyness of this thread (I was probably one of those posters that annoyed the old-schoolers :rotfl:), but it might be more for you?

I miss the old thread too though, a lot of people seem to have 'gone off' somewhere else!

Thanks for that - I'll bookmark it and watch it later.

At the moment I'm busy grating cheese for the freezer - Tesco's had a buy one get two free on Pilgrim's Choice yesterday, so I bought some and I'm grating it before DH gets hold of it. He slices it and it gets used up quicker that way! They also had mince pies on B1G2F so we bought 6 boxes . He ate one yesterday. That's one box, not one mince pie :rotfl:.

Two eldest have gone to Remembrance Day parade today - one is in Scouts and one is in Navy Cadets, so I'll have to go and pick them up in half an hour or so.
